Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Shieldwall Games Ltd collects, how we use it, and what your rights are. We have written it in plain English because we think privacy policies should be readable.

What we collect

Email addresses. If you sign up for the Mimir beta waitlist or the Ashborn launch notification list, we collect your email address and, optionally, your intended use case (for the Mimir list only).

Basic web analytics. We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as page views and referral sources to understand how visitors use the site. We do not track individual users across the web.

How we use your data

We use your email address to send you product updates about Mimir or Ashborn, depending on which list you signed up for. That is all. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with anyone for marketing purposes.

Third parties

MailerLite. We use MailerLite to manage our email lists and send updates. Your email address is stored on their servers. You can read MailerLite's privacy policy.

GitHub Pages. This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may collect server logs including IP addresses. You can read GitHub's privacy statement.

Anthropic. The Mimir application uses Anthropic's AI services (Claude) to power features like Ask Mimir and the Translator. See the section below on how data is handled in the app.

Data in the Mimir application

Mimir is a local-first application. Your world files live on your computer as plain markdown. We never have access to them unless you use an AI feature.

When you use Ask Mimir or the Translator, the relevant context from your world is sent to our AI broker (currently Anthropic's Claude) to process your request. We do not store your world data on our servers. We do not use it for training. The data transits through our broker and is discarded after the response is returned.

Anthropic's own data handling policies apply during the brief transit period. We have selected API configurations that prevent your data from being used for model training.

Cookies and local storage

This website does not use tracking cookies. We use localStorage to remember your theme preference (light or dark mode). That is the only data stored in your browser, and it never leaves your device.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can unsubscribe from our email lists at any time using the link in any email we send. You can also request that we delete your email address and any associated data by contacting us directly. We will action deletion requests within 30 days.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to its processing. Contact us at the address below to exercise any of these rights.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For subscribers, we will include a note in our next email.
